Parent/Leader Meeting Summary
Welcome
The Pack Committee Chairman, John Albers, welcomed everyone.
Announcements
The schedule is currently being created for the 2004-2005 calendar and will be discussed at the August meeting.
Jennifer Gjerstad has resigned as Pack 10 Treasurer and a candidate is needed to replace her.
WashJam 2004 will be held September 3-6 at
Secretary’s Report
There were no minutes taken at the brief June meeting.
Treasurer’s Report
John is acting as interim Treasurer and said approximately $330 was owed in Day Camp fees to date. There is nearly $5,200 in the Pack 10 bank account.
Advancement Report
Deborah was absent. Any advancements could be given to Bill. Den 5 will still need to bridge over to Wolf, as the Den was not present at the May Pack meeting. This den may also experience a leadership change.
Public Relations Report
Tina said she would e-mail Sharon Stewart to get the newsletter format.
There was discussion about the need for Den Leaders to be responsive to the call for submissions.
Den Leaders Report
Many dens are taking a summer hiatus and will reactivate efforts at and
following the August Day Camp.
Old Business
The June Pack Meeting featured a rocket derby. Many rockets experienced technical difficulties, however.
New Business
The July Pack meeting will be the Water Olympics. Toby described stations such as water guns, water relay races, a pool and slip ‘n slide.
A nature hike will take place at the August Pack meeting. Bill said the
trails at
Roger said he has the information about the annual popcorn fundraiser to take place in the Fall.
Bill said the Parish has asked us to do Coffee & Donuts three times this coming year and we’ve signed up for them on the Parish calendar. Scouts are often asked to participate in other Parish events throughout the year (parades, color guards, etc.) and we need to get them on our calendar, also.
FTP Site: Roger reported that the Council said it doesn’t have room on its server for us and he is looking into other options. Pat Ferdig said he might have an option to suggest and he and Roger agreed to discuss this further. The plan is for the Pack Calendar (and Roster) to be created with PackMaster software and be accessible to everyone via the internet.
Bill will coordinate the Recruitment event for Tigers at both Visitation and Edison Elementary.
