Treasurer’s Report

Kristin distributed a detailed summary of checking balances and budget comparisons.  There is just less than $3,000 in checking and the store account has a balance of about $485.  Joe L. submitted documentation for reimbursement for the pack photos and parade daffodils.  His expenses were approved for reimbursement.  Kristin noted that the $700 donation was sent to Catholic Relief Services for tsunami victims.   This includes the proceeds of the pancake breakfast plus an additional donation per Scout.

Advancement Report

Deborah said Den 2’s advancements are in and segments will be given for the uniform inspection at the Blue & Gold Banquet.

Public Relations Report

Tina was absent.

Den Leaders Report

Reports were made previously at the den leader meeting.

Old Business

Joe L. passed around the Pack 10 photo and individual den layouts.

The Coffee and Donuts service project at Scout Sunday resulted in $38 being donated to Visitation Church.

Joe L. discussed plans for the Blue & Gold Banquet.  Ann Garcia will direct volunteers who should arrive between 4 and 6 pm to set up.  Joe will donate old Scout books for each boy and he will display Scouting memorabilia.  There was a discussion about where to copy the programs.  Kristin suggested splitting the proceeds of the cake auction between the dens and the pack.  It was decided that the money will be directed to the general fund.

New Business

Scouting for Food will take place on successive Saturdays, March 12 and March 19th, each day beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Visitation.  Joe S. said they would be picking up 500 door hangers for the drop-off day.  There was discussion about the possibility that more would be needed.  The territory covered includes 56th Street to 74th Street and Puget Sound to I-5.  This is a “Good Turn for America” designated event.    - - The March Pack meeting will take place on the bag pickup day (instead of the day previously selected, the 31st).  Pick up will take place from 9:30 to 11 a.m. followed by the Pack meeting from 11 a.m. to Noon.  Then a spaghetti lunch will be served.  Deborah, Elisabeth and Kristin volunteered to help with the lunch preparations.

The Jr. Daffodil  Parade will take place on April 9th.  The Scouts will be marching with the  drums again, lining up after the Visitation Brownies and the school participants.

Roger said he is working out the design for the pinewood derby track.

Other Business

Roger noted that he has a contact who might provide free storage for Rummage Sale items.  Elisabeth will coordinate the date of a committee meeting, using the volunteer list Joe L. collected.

Lakewood Baseball Club is seeking groups to run its concession stand during baseball season.  It was decided that only the Webelos would be eligible and it was handed off to their den leaders to pursue if they are interested.
